Getting Started
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Paper or a compatible fork for Minecraft 1.21.11+.
- Java 25 or newer for every supported Minecraft version.
- A reachable Bore relay and outbound HTTPS access for the first managed download.

Managed downloads support Windows x64/x86 and Linux/macOS x64/ARM64. Other platforms require a compatible bore.executable.
Installation
Section titled “Installation”- Stop the server.
- Download the plugin JAR from GitHub Releases and place it in
plugins/. - Keep
enable-status=trueinserver.properties. - Start the server with the required Java version.
- Wait for the tunnel address in the console, or run
/port statusand/port address.
PortBridge installs missing config.yml and messages.yml under plugins/PortBridge/. The first tunnel start downloads and verifies Bore v0.6.0 unless a verified cached executable or custom executable is available.
Connect with friends
Section titled “Connect with friends”Copy the address from /port address or click Copy Address in chat. Friends enter it in Minecraft Java’s Multiplayer > Direct Connection screen. Keep the computer, server and tunnel running. The server’s whitelist, account authentication and Minecraft version requirements still apply.
/port help/port status/port addressAutomatic startup is enabled by default. If disabled, run /port start. Run /port stop to disconnect remote players and cancel retries.
Update
Section titled “Update”Stop the server, replace only the plugin JAR and restart. Existing configuration is preserved; missing message keys use bundled defaults. Compare your files with the config and message references when you want to customize new settings.
