Choose a Starting Point
Section titled “Choose a Starting Point”Open Studio or run /frameui editor in Minecraft for a connected session. The effect library has three categories:
| Category | Contents |
|---|---|
| Animations | 50 animation templates, including Aurora, Iris, Matrix and Pixel Dissolve. |
| Presets | 10 ready-made compositions with images, text and indicators. |

Use search to find a design. Choose Aurora for an animated background or FrameUI Signature for an editable logo composition. The gallery shows every starting point.
Make It Yours
Section titled “Make It Yours”- In Design, change the display name.
- Select a caption on the canvas or through the caption field. Edit its text and color in the component inspector.
- Choose a custom palette, background layout or uploaded image.
- Drag elements on the preview and use their handles to resize them.
- Open Motion to adjust the total duration or individual phases.
- Use the play, restart and timeline controls to watch the entrance and exit.
Editing a bundled template creates your own design; the original remains available. Give it an effect ID such as lobby-welcome under Design → File details. The ID becomes the YAML filename and preview command argument.
Choose When It Plays
Section titled “Choose When It Plays”Open Events → When to play and select Join, Teleport or World change. For an optional plugin, use Plugin events. Leave every event unchecked if you only want manual previews.
Use In-game to configure world filters, permissions, player presentation and advanced conditions. Those conditions also apply when previewing with a command.
Install and Test
Section titled “Install and Test”In a connected session, click Import to server. For an existing custom server effect, use Save to server. Keep your player online. Accept the refreshed resource pack, then run:
/frameui preview lobby-welcomeWithout a connection, click Export effect, extract the ZIP into plugins/FrameUI/ and run /frameui reload. The import/export guide explains the folder layout.
Check the design in Minecraft at the screen sizes your players use. Loading indicators are decorative animations, not measurements of actual server loading progress.
