Motion and Timing

Open Motion. Total duration scales entrance, hold and exit together. Expand Fine-tune each phase to change them independently.

ControlMeaning
Fade inTime to reveal the effect.
HoldTime fully visible before release.
Fade outTime to reveal the game again.
Extra loading waitAdditional allowance while the destination world is still loading.

The normal duration is entrance + hold + exit. Extra wait is a maximum allowance, not a guaranteed pause on every preview. Studio shows seconds; exported YAML uses server ticks, with 20 ticks per second.

For example, 0.7s entrance + 2.5s hold + 0.8s exit gives a normal duration of 4s. In YAML this is fade-in 14, minimum 64 and fade-out 16. The minimum includes the entrance.

Use play/pause, restart, the timeline slider and Loop below the preview. Scrub across both transitions to catch images or captions that appear too late. The phase display shows fade in, hold or fade out.

A saved event assignment does not change the preview controls. Previewing in the browser is independent of importing the design to the server.

The speed slider changes the motion of templates that use an ambient animation clock. 0.5× is half speed; 2× is double speed. It does not change the total duration, entrance or exit.

Some transition-only templates do not use ambient motion. Studio disables controls that do not affect the selected design and provides an explanation through the field help.

Select an image, caption or indicator to open its controls. Image reveals include fade, grow, directional slides, wipe and page. Individual captions can remain still, grow or slide independently.

Image delay is tied to its entrance reveal. Use the timeline to verify that the image has time to finish appearing before the effect releases. Background animation, image motion, caption motion and total duration are separate settings.
