Getting Started
Welcome to TNT Run! This plugin brings the classic disappearing-floor minigame to your Minecraft server, featuring automated arenas, last-player-standing gameplay, and full customization.
This guide walks you through installation, generated files, required permissions, and the recommended setup path.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before installing the plugin, ensure your server environment meets the following requirements:
- Java Version: Java 25 or newer is required.
- Minecraft Version: 1.21.11 or 26.2 (Latest versions recommended).
- Permissions Plugin Optional : A plugin like LuckPerms to manage user access.
Installation
Section titled “Installation”Setting up TNT Run is straightforward. Follow these steps to get started:
- Download the latest TNT Run build from SpigotMC, BuiltByBit or Modrinth.
- Place the
tnt-run-x.x.x.jarfile into your server’splugins/directory. - PlaceholderAPI Optional : if you plan to use TNT Run placeholders in external scoreboards, holograms, or menus.
- Restart the server to generate the default configuration files.
- Verify the installation by running
/tntrunor/trin-game.
First-Run Configuration
Section titled “First-Run Configuration”After the first restart, a new folder will be created at /plugins/TNTRun/. This folder contains everything you need to customize your game:

block-removal.yml | Control when arena blocks start disappearing, which materials are removable, and how crash recovery works. |

scoreboard.yml | Configure the in-game scoreboard layout, lines, and displayed values. |
bossbar.yml | Customize boss bars used during gameplay, including colors, styles, and messages. |
items.yml | Configure lobby items such as the leave item, including their name, material, slot, and lore. |
signs.yml | Customize the appearance and behavior of arena join signs. |
sounds.yml | Configure external database connections to synchronize player statistics across your network. |
mysql.yml | MySQL connection settings if database: mysql is used. |
arenas.yml | Automatically saved arena data. Edit through the setup menu whenever possible. |
menu/ | Setup, stats, spectator settings, and spectator teleporter menu layouts. |
Other Files | Automatically managed internal files used by the TNT Run plugin. |
Basic Command Structure
Section titled “Basic Command Structure”While you’ll spend most of your time in the config files, here are the essential commands:

/tr join <arena> | None | Allows a player to join the specified arena. |
/tr leave | None | Allows a player to exit their current game and return to the hub. |
