FAQ

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions section. Here you can find quick answers about licensing, prerequisites, and technical resources for the TNT Run plugin.

The plugin is compiled using Java Development Kit (JDK) 25. Therefore, Java 25 or newer is strictly required to run TNT Run.

TNT Run supports a specific range of versions to ensure stability:

  • Supported Versions: Full and native support for 1.21.11 - 26.2 and all newer versions.

Use Paper or any Paper fork.

Forks such as Purpur usually work as long as they remain compatible with Paper APIs. Spigot/CraftBukkit are not the recommended target.

The plugin utilizes the XSeries library to ensure sound compatibility across different Minecraft versions. This means you should use the XSeries sound names in your configuration files.

List of All Available Names

Yes. TNT Run provides a comprehensive set of placeholders to display player statistics and real-time game data. You can use these in any compatible plugin like Tab, Scoreboard, or Holographic Displays.

We have categorized our placeholders into two main sections:

Check block-removal.yml:

  • The floor material must be listed in removable-blocks.
  • The game must be in the IN_GAME state.
  • start-after-seconds must have elapsed.
  • Players must be moving over blocks within the configured scan depth.

If only some floors work, make sure every floor layer material is included in the removable block list.

How do I give VIP players different double jumps?

Section titled “How do I give VIP players different double jumps?”

Configure permission nodes in config.yml:

double-jumps:
permissions:
- tntrun.doublejumps.5
- tntrun.doublejumps.3
- tntrun.doublejumps.1

Then grant the matching permission with your permissions plugin.

TNT Run is designed to keep arena logic lightweight, restore blocks safely, and avoid unnecessary work outside active games.

For larger servers, use sensible block-removal settings and avoid extremely oversized arenas.

Normally, no. The intended workflow is to use /tr edit <arena> and let the setup system serialize the result.

Manual edits are possible, but they are easy to get wrong because arena data includes multiple typed values.
