Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions section. Here you can find quick answers about licensing, prerequisites, and technical resources for the TNT Run plugin.
Which Java versions are supported?
Section titled “Which Java versions are supported?”The plugin is compiled using Java Development Kit (JDK) 25. Therefore, Java 25 or newer is strictly required to run TNT Run.
Which Minecraft versions are supported?
Section titled “Which Minecraft versions are supported?”TNT Run supports a specific range of versions to ensure stability:
- Supported Versions: Full and native support for 1.21.11 - 26.2 and all newer versions.
Which server software is supported?
Section titled “Which server software is supported?”Use Paper or any Paper fork.
Forks such as Purpur usually work as long as they remain compatible with Paper APIs. Spigot/CraftBukkit are not the recommended target.
What are the available sound names?
Section titled “What are the available sound names?”The plugin utilizes the XSeries library to ensure sound compatibility across different Minecraft versions. This means you should use the XSeries sound names in your configuration files.
Does the plugin support PlaceholderAPI?
Section titled “Does the plugin support PlaceholderAPI?”Yes. TNT Run provides a comprehensive set of placeholders to display player statistics and real-time game data. You can use these in any compatible plugin like Tab, Scoreboard, or Holographic Displays.
We have categorized our placeholders into two main sections:
- General & Game Placeholders: For player stats (wins, points) and arena info.
- Leaderboard Placeholders: For creating Top 10 lists and ranking displays.
What is the license for TNT Run?

Why are blocks not disappearing?
Section titled “Why are blocks not disappearing?”Check block-removal.yml:
- The floor material must be listed in
removable-blocks. - The game must be in the
IN_GAMEstate. start-after-secondsmust have elapsed.- Players must be moving over blocks within the configured scan depth.
If only some floors work, make sure every floor layer material is included in the removable block list.
My arena stayed damaged after a restart. What should I check?

How do I give VIP players different double jumps?
Section titled “How do I give VIP players different double jumps?”Configure permission nodes in config.yml:

How is the performance?
Section titled “How is the performance?”TNT Run is designed to keep arena logic lightweight, restore blocks safely, and avoid unnecessary work outside active games.
For larger servers, use sensible block-removal settings and avoid extremely oversized arenas.
Should I edit arenas.yml manually?
Section titled “Should I edit arenas.yml manually?”Normally, no. The intended workflow is to use /tr edit <arena> and let the setup system serialize the result.
Manual edits are possible, but they are easy to get wrong because arena data includes multiple typed values.
